Dr. Uzair Mahmood was born on 2nd November 1977 in Hyderabad, Sindh, Pakistan.

The Creator chose a family for his birth that was both a center of knowledge and a beacon of spirituality. Reflecting on this divine choice, one is compelled to say, "This is the grace of Allah, which He bestows upon whom He wills."

His lineage is traced through many channels to the great companion of the Prophet, the host of the Prophet, Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub Ansari (R.A).

Dr. Uzair Mahmood great-grandfather Hazrat Shah Muhammad Ruknuddin Alwari رحمۃ اللہ علیہ is counted among those famous saints and great Sufis of Pakistan and India. When he would leave his home to go to the mosque, the Hindus would see him in the markets and close their shops and hide. When they were asked why they were doing this? there was nothing harmful in the hands of this dervish. The Hindus there would reply that apparently this Babaji really had nothing in his hands. But when this dervish sets his eyes on a Hindu, he abandons his religion and spontaneously recites لا إله إلا الله محمد رسول الله and becomes a Muslim. If we look at his academic achievements, he did a great favor to those who were familiar with the language by writing a book like Ruknuddin in the Fiqh of Worship in Urdu about a hundred years ago. There, he worked diligently and with dedication to master Arabic and English languages, achieving top positions. As a result, he became eligible and deserving of a scholarship from the esteemed and ancient University of Al-Azhar.

In 2001, to further satisfy his thirst for knowledge, Sahibzada Uzair Mahmood Al-Azhari traveled to the prestigious Al-Azhar University one of the oldest and most respected Islamic institutions in the world. There, he had the opportunity to study under the guidance of renowned scholars and spiritual leaders, gaining comprehensive knowledge in Arabic language and Arabic sciences.

He pursued his M.Phil. in Arabic and wrote his thesis on "Al-Shaykh Mufti Muhammad Mahmood and His Contributions to Tafsir," focusing on the tafsir (exegesis) work of his great-grandfather, the famous contemporary mufassir (Quranic scholar) Mufti Muhammad Mahmood alwari (رحمۃ اللہ علیہ). His thesis was published by Egypt's Maktabah al-Iman.

For his Ph.D Sahibzada Uzair Mahmood choose a highly relevant and crucial subject, in line with the current global concerns. His dissertation was titled "The Role of Sufis and Scholars in Promoting Peace in Pakistan and the United Kingdom." In this thesis, he explored definitions of peace and terrorism, their causes, effects, and real-world instances, from a global perspective. He also established that the true peace-bearers in the world are the followers of Prophet Muhammad the real Sufis and scholars. Furthermore, through his research, Dr. Uzair Mahmood Al-Azhari presented substantial international evidence to show who is responsible for disrupting peace and spreading corruption in the world. He concluded by offering high-level suggestions and solutions, in accordance with international laws, for establishing global peace, demonstrating the essential role that the Sufi tradition plays in fostering peace and unity.
